With the rapid development of the global power industry, the Russian Power Grid Equipment and Technology Exhibition (Power Grids) will be held at the VDNH Exhibition Center in Moscow from December 3 to 5, 2024. The exhibition is co-organized by the Russian Ministry of Energy and the All-Russian Power Supply Company. It is one of the most influential power exhibitions in Eastern Europe, focusing on displaying the latest technologies, equipment and solutions in the field of power grids.
As the most comprehensive power grid industry event in Russia, Power Grids will attract hundreds of exhibitors from all over the world, with an exhibition area of 20,013 square meters and more than 26,323 professional visitors expected to participate. Exhibitors will include research, design, construction and performance organizations, as well as companies and organizations from Belarus, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Poland and other countries.
The scope of exhibits will fully cover all aspects of the power transmission and distribution field, including but not limited to power grid engineering, power transmission and distribution equipment, power grid automation equipment, distribution network automation equipment, power dispatching system, power system software, ultra-high voltage transmission and transformation equipment, transformers, high, medium and low voltage switches, switch cabinets, urban and rural power grid construction and transformation related equipment, etc.
In addition, online monitoring devices for insulation of power grid operation equipment, distribution network operation control equipment, power grid system monitoring equipment, substation remote monitoring system, melting (de-icing) system, reactive power compensation device, reactor, lightning arrester, insulator, grounding device, relay protection and automation equipment, etc. will also be exhibited.
Russia is currently making every effort to transform its power grid, and the transformation project is expected to last for 10 years, involving an amount of nearly 100 billion US dollars. This provides huge market opportunities for participating power companies, especially in the context that China and Russia have agreed to finance the transformation of the Russian power grid in the form of export credit from Chinese banks.
During the exhibition, a number of theme forums and seminars will also be held to provide exhibitors and visitors with a platform to exchange ideas and share experiences, and promote technological progress and cooperative development in the power industry.
