Single Phase Pole Mounted Transformer

A single-phase pole-mounted transformer is a type of electrical transformer that is typically mounted on a utility pole. These transformers are used to step down the high voltage from the power lines to a lower voltage suitable for residential or commercial use. They are commonly found in rural or suburban areas where they serve as a critical part of the electrical distribution system.

The design of a single-phase pole-mounted transformer includes a steel tank containing the transformer core and windings. The tank is filled with insulating oil for cooling and insulation purposes. On top of the tank, there are high-voltage bushings where the incoming high-voltage lines are connected, and low-voltage bushings for the outgoing lower voltage lines.
