Through the use of megohmmeter and other measuring tools, you can measure the insulation resistance value of the transformer. If the measurement result is lower than the normal range, then it may mean that the insulation performance of the transformer has been damaged, and needs further inspection and treatment.
5. Testing Resistance: A multimeter or resistance meter can be used to check the main resistance values of the transformer, including the input and output side resistances. There should not be much difference between the input side and output side resistances. If there is a large difference, the transformer may be burned out. Also, determine if the transformer is normal by testing the turns ratio on the input and output sides. Under normal circumstances, the insulation resistance value should be high, if the value is low, it means that the insulation is damaged, it is possible that the transformer has burned.
The above method can be used as a reference to determine whether the power transformer is damaged.
